Kit, formerly ConvertKit, is an email marketing platform for creators that founder Nathan Barry started as a side project in 2013. It combines email broadcasts, visual automations and email sequences with landing pages, opt-in forms, a newsletter website, digital product sales and paid newsletters.
The Free plan manages up to 10,000 subscribers with unlimited landing pages, forms and broadcasts, tagging and segmentation, and selling digital products and subscriptions, but it has no visual automations or sequences. Creator costs $39 a month for up to 1,000 subscribers, or $390 billed yearly, and adds unlimited automations and sequences, RSS campaigns, app integrations and Kit MCP. Pro costs $79 a month at the same list size and adds a newsletter referral system through an included SparkLoop plan, deliverability reporting, engagement scoring and unlimited users. Commerce sales carry a fee of 3.5% plus 30 cents per transaction, card processing included.
