netcup is a German hosting company based in Karlsruhe and part of the Austrian Anexia group since 2016. It rents virtual servers in Nuremberg, Vienna, Amsterdam and Singapore and at one US location, Manassas, Virginia. Prices are listed in euros only; customers in the US pay no VAT.
There are five server lines. VPS Lite starts at €1.85 a month on a 12-month term, in Europe only. On monthly terms in Manassas, shared-CPU VPS plans on x86 or ARM64 start at €9.18 for 2 vCores and 4 GB of RAM, and root servers with dedicated AMD EPYC cores at €14.36; 12- and 24-month terms cost less but are billed upfront. vGPU servers with NVIDIA H200 slices were sold out on October 19, 2026. VPS and root servers include a traffic flat rate and free DDoS protection. There are no managed databases, managed Kubernetes or object storage.
Best for
Developers who run their own Linux servers and want low prices and a traffic flat rate, especially for workloads that can be hosted in Europe, and who are comfortable paying in euros.
