Duck.ai is DuckDuckGo's private AI chat service. It launched as DuckDuckGo AI Chat in June 2024 and left beta as Duck.ai in March 2025. It offers chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral and others with no account: DuckDuckGo removes your IP address before a prompt reaches the model provider, and chats are not used to train AI models. It can search the web, create and refine images, read uploaded images and PDFs on some models, and hold voice chats, in any browser and in the DuckDuckGo app for iOS and Android.
The free version has a daily usage limit. A DuckDuckGo subscription adds advanced models and higher limits. Plus costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year and includes a VPN, Personal Information Removal (US only) and Identity Theft Restoration. Pro costs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year and adds two more models and twice Plus's usage limits.
Best for
Privacy-minded people who want free, account-free access to chat models from several providers for everyday questions and writing, and who do not need projects, memory or an API.

- No memory, projects or developer API is listed, and the terms forbid automated querying
- The subscription is for individual use only and is sold only in the US, Canada, the UK and the EU
